SDCC: WARNER BROS. SHARES AFFLECK’S BATMAN COWL WITH FANS!!!

Fans worldwide received their first glimpse of Ben Affleck’s costume from “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” in May, but this week at Comic-Con International, attendees can get an up-close look at the cape and cowl.

Displayed by DC Entertainment alongside other Batman movie costumes as part of the character’s 75th anniversary celebration, the elements perhaps offer a better idea than the moody promotional photo did of director Zack Snyder’s vision for the Dark Knight. The cape and cowl are indeed black, not the steely gray of The Dark Knight Returns. The rest of the costume, which isn’t part of the exhibit, is said to be gray and black.

Opening May 6, 2016, “Batman v Superman, Dawn of Justice” also stars Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.

'Final Fantasy' designer creates the wildest take on Batman yet
If nothing else, Square Enix artist Tetsuya Nomura has built up a distinctive style over the years — his androgynous, zipper-heavy designs for characters in games like Kingdom Hearts and the Final Fantasy series are recognizable anywhere. But none of that will have prepared you for his surreal take on Batman, revealed in action figure form at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

"You just might not understand it yet. But it’s cool. Family is super cool. Going home to one girl every night is super cool. Just going home and getting on the floor and playing with your child is super cool. Not wearing a red leather jacket, and just looking like a dad and shit, is like super cool. Having someone that I can call Mom again. That shit is super cool."
